Ingredients
4 whiting fish fillets
½ cup milk (to coat bottom of dish)
1 pinch garlic powder
1 pinch onion powder
1 pinch paprika
Salt to taste
1 Roma tomato, diced
4 teaspoons butter
2 lemons, halved (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Place fillets in a baking dish. Pour just enough milk to coat the bottom.
3. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt evenly over fillets.
4. Top each piece with diced tomatoes and 1 teaspoon of butter.
5. Optional: squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish.
6. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
7. Broil for the last 2 minutes if more color is desired.
Notes
Thaw frozen fish completely and pat dry before use.
Use bottled lemon juice if fresh is unavailable.
Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking for a crispy touch.
Bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes if you’re short on time.
